Dear Parent and Carer,
Proposed Admission of Trinity Catholic School, Leamington Spa into Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi-Academy
On behalf of the Board of Directors I write to advise you of an exciting new development for our Multi-Academy.
Following detailed discussions since the start of the year with Trinity Catholic Secondary School, the Archdiocese of Birmingham and Warwickshire County Council the Board have unanimously agreed, in principle, a plan for Trinity Catholic School to join our growing Multi-Academy family.
As one of the most established partnerships in the Archdiocese, Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic MAC is home to the St Augustine’s National Teaching School. This provides school to school teaching support, extensive training and development opportunities to professionals and hosts the training of trainee teachers.
The Board firmly believes that the admission of Trinity Catholic School into our MAC will drive the continued improvement in teaching and learning outcomes and the pastoral care of all its pupils. It will also provide enhanced opportunities for career progression and development for all staff. In joining our MAC community, Trinity Catholic School will be sharing its own successes and expertise particularly in the academic, pastoral, and spiritual fields and bring new strengths and opportunities to create a group of high performing and integrated schools. This will reflect our Catholic mission to enable all our pupils to achieve their full personal and academic potential.
We are now at the first stage with the aim that an academy conversion will take place in January 2021. As part of the process there will be a statutory consultation which will commence early in the Autumn term, allowing for all parties to raise questions and we would welcome your comments at that time.
