Finance Officer

Starting date: September 2018

Salary:             Grade 6 Spinal points 26 – 28  (FTE £23,866 – £25,463)

Hours:             Negotiable

Contract:        Term time to include 5 INSET days plus 10 days non term time

 The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi Academy are looking to appoint an experienced Finance officer to join the Central team in providing effective and efficient financial administration.  The person will be based within the Central offices and will be expected to undertake school site visits.

The Multi Academy currently comprises of four Catholic schools situated in Redditch and Bromsgrove (Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic First School, St Peters Catholic First School, St Bede’s Catholic Middle School and St Augustine’s Catholic High School) responsible for over 2500 students and staff.  All the schools are rated as Good or Outstanding by Ofsted.

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic quick thinker with excellent communication and organisational skills.  They will be able to work independently whilst at the same time forming effective relationships with stakeholders.  Experience in a financial role and knowledge of financial procedures is essential.  Full training will be given on all local financial and administrative packages

The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic MAC offer a Cycle to work scheme and enrollment to the Local Government Pension Scheme to all Support staff employees.

The Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Multi Academy are looking to appoint an exceptional candidate to provide professional clerking services to our Board of Directors The role will include: providing advice to the Directors on governance, constitutional and procedural matters and provide effective administrative support.

A knowledge of Governing body procedures and previous experience in a similar role is essential.

This post will work on a flexible basis so the successful candidate must be able to organise their own time and work to strict deadlines. The Clerk to the Board of Directors will be required to attend the Full Board meetings (7) and subcommittee meetings (9) throughout the Academic year, these meetings pre-dominantly take place in the evening.
